After Daughters Death Grieving Engineer Invents Ghost Hunter Devices
Is it possible to detect ghosts? To measure the subtle changes in temperature that occur when a ghost is present? Is it possible to record a ghosts voice? Are these recordings proof that ghosts exist or false hope. Readings of other natural phenomena such as: faulty wiring, nearby microwave towers or sunspot activity rather than paranormal activity.
One electrical engineer that thinks he’s invented devices that records and communicates with ghosts is Gary Galka.
Gary Galka, a Connecticut electrical engineer lost his daughter in a car crash. After his daughter’s passing he continued to feel her presence.

Gary Galka wanted a device to communicate with his daughter. However he found that products that could do this weren’t available. So utilizing his electrical engineering background he made his own.
Gary has designed over 30 devices to detect paranormal activity. Gary sells his devices through the website Professional Measurements. The website sells a variety of ghost hunting equipment including the device that seemingly records a voice on the Travel Show’s Ghost Adventures. The voice seems to say ‘ Hi Daddy, I love you.”
Some of Galka’s devices include one called the SB7 Spirit Box and even one that can detect shadows in the dark.
In an interview with the Hartford Courant Gary stated:
“I feel compelled to help other bereaved parents … to show these parents that they can live beyond the grief and be comforted knowing their child is in a good place — to show them they can have hope.”
Do these devices prove the existence of ghosts? Can Gary’s devices communicate with the dead or are they merely another mechanism of bringing false hope to believers and mourners alike.
The answer like belief in the paranormal itself is largely a personal one. I for one do believe and hope that one day devices such as these will undeniably prove the existence of something beyond.
